HVA Hinges

The HVA (Horizontal and Vertical Adjustment) hinges developed and Patented by Steelfinne Fabrications offers specifiers, builder and facility manager short and long tern benefits through the ability to adjust doors in both planes.

This allows adjustment throughout the construction process and the life of the door to ensure the correct operation of locking system, which inherently have fine tolerance requirements. Our hinge also reduces the risk of deliberate damage to the door or frame by 'chocking' object between the door and hinge stile and slamming the door, by allowing the door to move under this load. Door need only be reset to the correct operating position.

These hinges have been teste to the stringent ASTM standards for use in American Correctional Facilities, and are currently being used in various new US prison facilities and retrofitted within existing facilities.

Features

Horizontal Adjustment

• Allows horizontal door movement if object is forced between door and hinge jamb and door is slammed shut.

Vertical Adjustment

• Adds greater flexibility to working with construction tolerances.

Integral Door Position Switch (optional)

• Hidden from inmates/easy adjustment/replacement.

Power Transfer (optional)

• For supplying power to door mounted electric locks. Hinge remains load bearing.
