Position: Managing Director Role: Overall direction and planning of the Steefinne Organisation including the development of company policy and objectives. Glenn oversees the measurement of performance and success against these objectives and ensures the provision of adequate resources to meet contractual and financial responsibilities. Ensuring Steelfinne remains the market leader in its field of expertise. Background: Glenn using his background of Engineering and Manufacturing started Steelfinne Fabrications in the early 1980’s in partnership with his Father as a specialised steel fabrication company delivering high quality finishes to projects such as the Victorian underground rail loop. Through involvement with the Melbourne Remand Centre, Glenn oversaw the development of several ground breaking products and introduced the idea of the specialist detention fabricator to Australia. Through a process of continual improvement and innovation Steelfinne has built on these ideals and remains the largest and most trusted fabricator of detention products in Australia.
Position: General Manager Role: Day to day management of the Steelfinne Organisation including control of production, project planning, contract administration and co-ordination of installation activities. Eddie oversees the implementation of company policies and objectives including the Steelfinne Quality system and Health and Safety Policies to ensure company wide conformance. Background: Eddie through his trade background and extensive experience in the field of construction, steel fabrication and manufacturing possesses a vast knowledge of the process of delivering high quality products that conform to our client’s requirements while ensuring on time production. Eddie has 20 years of specific security product experience which will be brought to bare on this project to ensure all project outcomes are met.
Bachelor of Applied Science - Construction Management (QUT) Position: Manager – Business Development Role: Implementation of Steelfinne product development and marketing focus including liaison with external stakeholders to maintain continual improvement in Steelfinne produced products and service delivery. Specific roles include the product development and design process, tendering, design management and contract management processes for major and minor contracts. Background: Damian has a Degree in Construction Management over 10 years of specific security product experience having started the Security products division of James Engineering Pty Ltd in 1994; successfully delivering the Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre expansion and Capricornia Correctional Centre among others. He has been heavily involved with the development of products that are now the standard in most states including K700 security screens; Ply/Steel laminate door and panel construction; and operable and vented window systems.
Position: Australasian Site Manager Role: Overall co-ordination of site personnel throughout all Steelfinne work site including implementation of Steelfinne quality system and WH&S and environmental plans. To ensure the installation of all Steelfinne products in accordance with project requirements and the co-ordination with contractors and other trades to deliver on site and defect free completion. Background: Grant has over 10 years experience in the installation of security products and has a extensive knowledge of all aspects of site installation, fabrication, carpentry, glazing, locks and other related activities critical to the successful delivery of projects in our highly complex field. Grant has a good association with many other key sub trades and appreciates the importance of trade co-ordination and its impact on site efficiencies.
Advanced Diploma Engineering – Civil Design Drafting Position: Projects Design Leader Role: Management and Co-ordination of all design personnel and design document control to produce documentation using the most effective processes. Liam maintains Steelfinne drafting and document handling procedures to maximize drafting office efficiency and to promote continual improvement in the design and drafting process. Background: Liam has 15 years of design drafting knowledge with 5 years specifically relating to the preparation of documents for the manufacture of police and prison components. Previous university study also allows Liam to assist with higher responsibilities during peak periods. He has 15 years experience using computer aided drafting methods with 10 years involved in development of design office procedures.
Position: National Projects Manager Role: David assists Eddie Villa in managing the day to today operations of Steelfinne Fabrications and is responsible for the management of small and medium sized projects. Specifically David co-ordinates and controls the flow of documentation from design through to the production process including management of procurement, production scheduling, quality assurance and dispatch. Background: David has 30 years of design drafting experience in the structural steel industry. Most of that time self employed as the proprietor of Bellert Drafting Services. David has a further 5 years experience as the manager and estimator for Scrobar Engineering Pty Ltd; a medium sized Structural steel manufacturer. |
